FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. I have my own cards,
photographs, prints, etc. Will you frame them for
me?
A. Yes. Custom framing is a major
part of our business. We encourage your participation in the
process.
If you have some of your own items, and are
using some of ours in the framing, we will credit you for your
contribution. The credit is based on the number of items and what
they are. For instance, typically, we would allow a larger credit for
a centerprint than for a postage stamp.
If you are supplying all of the items, the
price would be based on the size, layout, matboard, and frame style.
Either way, you can design your own layout, or
let us do it.
Contact us (see "How to Contact Us") if you
have a project you'd like to discuss.
Q. I don't want to send my
credit card information via the Internet. What can I
do?
A. Make your selections as usual.
Fill in the shopping cart form. Then, print out the form using your
browser.
And FAX it to us at 425-952-7794.

Q. Can I use a matboard
color that Miniatures does not stock?
A. Yes. We stock the 12 colors most
popular with our customers.
We can obtain just about any other color. All
you need to do is to specify the matboard manufacturer and code
number. This information is usually found on the back side of the
matboard.
Upon receipt of this information, we will then
order the matboard. However, please note that a small upcharge may be
incurred for such special orders to cover extra charges and
waste.
Q. Can I use a frame style
that Miniatures does not stock?
A. Yes. We stock the 5 frame styles
most popular with our customers.
We can obtain other styles. But, there are many
manufacturers and many styles of frames. Availability, styles, and
prices vary significantly. Basically, there are two ways to do
it.
Method #1) You furnish us with the frame of
your choice. You package and ship it to us. We credit you for the
average cost of our frame (in that size). The credit you receive from
us may be more or less than what you paid for the frame.
Method #2) Describe to us what you want. A
photograph, sample, or catalog reference would help. With your
permission, we will obtain a frame for you. We will describe it for
you before we buy it. If the frame costs more than our standard frame
style, we will charge you for the difference. We will tell you the
additional cost before we buy it.
